One new 3-button remote and a transponder chip key blank for Ford vehicles.  Genuine Strattec OEM 5918997 80-bit 4D63 chip key.  It is backward compatible with the 40-bit keys.
Fits most Ford trucks, Vans and SUVs.  Check Chart.
PROGRAMMING:
Your vehicle must be equipped with the factory remote keyless entry for the remote to work.  The remote can be easily programmed using the included instructions.  The key must be cut to match your current key. Many hardware stores or locksmiths can do this for you. In addition, your car must be programmed to recognize the transponder. You can do this yourself provided you already have two working master keys.  Easy, do-it-yourself programming procedures are included with purchase. Otherwise a dealer or locksmith with computerized programming equipment hooked up to the car must do it for you.  Most hardware stores do not have this type of equipment.  Key cutting and programming fees are not included in the purchase price.
Please make sure you can get this key cut and programmed before you order.  Cut keys are not returnable or refundable.
CANADIAN VEHICLES:
Chip keys on vehicles made for sale in Canada cannot be programmed yourself.  The on-board programming has been disabled due to government regulations.  Programming can only be done by a locksmith or dealer with programming equipment. Remotes, however, still can be programmed by the customer.
