Some things to know about using the ArOmis Diffuser.
You can only use pure essential oils in the diffuser, no water and no carrier oils, no absolutes (too thick). Heavy oils can be used but need to be diluted.
The unit is like a piece of functional art. It requires some regular care. Washing out the unit regularly with rubbing alcohol will keep the diffuser element at the bottom of the bottle clean and working well
Turning the unit on first before adding oil can extend the life of your diffuser.
The timer option is good for people who want to run the diffuser for about 1 hour, turn it on and walk away. It will turn on for 10 min and off for 10 min and then shut down after 1 hour. If you want to use your diffuser for longer than 1 hour we can customize the timer for you.  You can purchase a no-timer unit and an external lamp timer to control the diffuser as well. This is a good solution for people who want to diffuse while they sleep or generally throughout the day.

Why you should only be using glass diffusers with no heat, no water and no plastics.
Essential oils are very reactive,  especially with plastics. Health contentious people understand that plastics especially PC contain harmful estrogen mimicking
compounds. We want the medicinal effects of the essential oils so why would we be mixing the oils in plastic tubs made of materials we know react with essential oils and could cause us harm?
Glass diffuser are the only way to go if you care about the health effects of plastics in your lungs.
Water units often claim to diffuse oils but its almost impossible to tell what is actually happening. They certainly are good at creating lots of water vapor but controlling the release of essential oils is not something that water units do well. They normally cant be turned up or down and its difficult to know weather the oils are being diffused or just being pushed off to the side of the bowl to be wiped off later.
Heat destroys essential oils. Never use hot water or lamp/flame units. They are just bad news! Safety wise and oil wise.
With diffusing, its all about particle size and delivery. Our diffuser creates very fine droplets of ONLY ESSENTIAL OIL, so you know whats going into the air, at what rate and how much in total.

I have been "shopping" diffusers/nebulizers for about a year. Some had color changing lights, others used water and one was capable of downloading your MP3's! Sounds pretty nifty - but I was searching for a QUALITY essential oil diffuser. All the other bells and whistles seemed to compromise the integrity of the units ACTUAL purpose - dispersing essential oils for aromatherapy. Most of the diffusers I viewed seemed like glorified humidifiers (in function, operation and aesthetics).
In my opinion - essential oils are NATURAL and should not be in contact with plastics, etc.

I can't hear it (even when its turned up all the way) and the wood and glass components are simply elegant.
